VACANCY FOR PARISH CLERK AT BROKENBOROUGH

Brokenborough Parish Council is a small parish of approximately 100 homes.  We have 6 Councillors and meet a minimum of four times a year. We are looking for someone able to start immediately as a part time clerk and responsible financial officer.

The role is part time and mainly home based, though attendance at our meetings will be required. Remuneration is subject to skill level and experience. The salary for the post will be in accordance with the current National Joint Salary Scale LC1. Hours to be discussed at interview.

We are looking for sound IT skills and a good level of literacy. We have recently opened a parish website at brokenboroughparishcouncil.org.uk which you may wish to sample. A working knowledge of Parish Council procedures and/or public administration is desirable.

You will also be expected to update the parish website, for which training will be available. As our Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) you will also be responsible for managing the Council finances and record keeping. We would require guidance on ensuring compliance with GDPR and other regulations.
