Course booking

We ask that courses and events are booked by council officers. That way, delegates will know to expect communication about the event from the booking officer.

Please do not book anyone on a course unless you are sure they are able to attend. Booking through this site generates an invoice which will be sent directly to the council.

Please note, there are no “provisional” bookings.  Submission of this form will constitute a booking and all bookings will be charged.

Should a delegate be unable to attend at the last minute, please feel free to send a substitute but please notify of the name of the person attending.  This course will be delivered by Zoom.  Please do not share the joining instructions, unless with someone who is attending in place of someone previously booked on the course.

Wiltshire Association of Local Councils reserves the right to cancel an event if there is insufficient interest or in the event of illness or irresolvable technical issues. In the case of the latter two reasons, we will try to reschedule as soon as possible.

The names and contact details you supply upon booking will be used for notifying you about the event, invoicing and for the delegate list for the event. Names and councils of delegates will be shared with the trainer for each course.

Bookings are to be made by council officers for themselves, colleagues or members. This is because an invoice for the council is generated by the booking and will be sent directly to the person who books. Please book in the officer’s name and with the officer’s email and we will contact you for delegates’ names.

You can make multiple bookings for each date but there will be a separate invoice generated for each booking (so if you return to book another delegate, or you book on multiple dates)

I will contact the person who has booked for the delegate names so that we can advise the trainer of who will be in attendance

The link to the remote training session will be sent to the person who booked to distribute among delegates. In the past we have seen that members sometimes don’t expect and email from WALC or from a trainer and do not see the joining instructions.
