Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council is seeking a Business Manager/Town Clerk to lead a small team serving the community and residents of this unique and historic town situated on North Wiltshire. The Business Manager/Town Clerk will help to shape the future of the town working through creative partnerships with business and community to ensure sustainable growth. We need a forward-thinking, commercially minded individual to drive the towns strategic developments, to deliver good and consistent public services to the community of around 13,000 residents.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and motivated manager with experience in both business, local authority and people centric with a track record of collaborative working as the role demands close liaison with elected members and other stakeholders.
Details of the role:
- Based in Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire
- Permanent role after successful completion of 6 months probationary period
- 37 hours per week, with regular evening and occasional weekend working
- Salary LC4 (SCP 50-54) £56,658 – £63,878 per annum dependent on skills, experience and qualifications.
