DINTON PARISH COUNCIL

Council Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer


- Government pay scales depending on experience
- Approx. 5 hours per week
- Presently meet bi-monthly for main meetings plus planning meetings as and when required

Main duties:

- Keep minutes of Parish Council meetings
- Write letters on behalf of the Parish Council
- Generate agendas for the meetings
- Keep records of income and expenditure (in spreadsheet format) and prepare accounts for audit

Charlton St Peter and Wilsford Parish Council -

is seeking a Parish Clerk to assist them in their duties.  There are four quarterly meetings and an AGM each year, and the principal duties are:

-         producing agendas and minutes for the meetings
-         receiving correspondence and dealing with it appropriately
-         writing to, emailing or telephoning contacts as required
-          
The clerk must have a telephone and preferably a computer with email facilities.  It is an interesting job, and the hours are, of course, very flexible.  The fee is based on national rates, and will vary with experience

The present Clerk, who is retiring, will be available for advice if needed.
